We are in love with the colors of this beautiful plant: Begonia rex ‘Salsa’. Did you know that ‘Rex’ is derived from Latin, and means ‘King’? Well.. we didn’t! This plant is really easy to propagate, as you only need one leaf to create a new plant! We ship cuttings from this plant with or without roots. Both rooted and unrooted cuttings can grow (longer) roots in water! Our Propagation Plate Size Mini is perfect for Begonia rex cuttings. Roots appear after 1-2 weeks, and the cuttings can be transferred to soil when little leaves start to appear. After transferring the cuttings into soil, make sure to keep the soil moist as the roots are used to a lot of water. When the cuttings mature, you can decrease the amount of water.
