Due to the cold Winter season, we are not able to ship our houseplant cuttings! The cuttings will be back in stock in Spring 2024!

The Scindapsus pictus is a beautiful trailing or climbing houseplant that is really easy to take care of. The leaves are green with a silver shimmer, which makes the plant unique! We ship cuttings including one leaf, which can be with or without roots depending on the stock. When you buy a rooted cutting, roots are at least 3 cm long, and can be directly transferred to soil. However, both rooted and unrooted cuttings can grow (longer) roots in water! Our Propagation Plate Size Mini is perfect for this process, as the plate prevents the cuttings to fall out off/in the water. When the root is at least 3 cm long, the cutting(s) can be placed into soil! After transferring the cuttings into soil, make sure to keep the soil moist as the roots are used to a lot of water. When the cuttings mature, you can slightly decrease the amount of water.

Side note & tip: one cutting of the Scindapsus pictus will form one string of leaves. If you want a fuller plant, buy more than one cutting, which you place together in a pot. The size of the leaves may vary between 4 and 6 cm.

The following care tips can be used for the Scindapsus pictus:
☀️ Bright indirect sunlight
💧 Keep the soil moist
☁️ Prefers average to high humidity
