The Syngonium ‘Variegata’, also known as the Syngonium podophyllum albo-variegatum, is a rare houseplant with beautiful variegated leaves. Every cutting is unique, which means that some leaves have more variegation than others. If this plant is placed in a spot that is too dark, the variegation will fade. This fast growing plant is easy to take care of! We ship cuttings including one leaf, which can be with or without roots depending on the stock. When you buy a rooted cutting, roots are at least 5 cm long, and can be directly transferred to soil. However, both rooted and unrooted cuttings can grow (longer) roots in water! Our Propagation Plate Size Mini is perfect for this process, as the plate prevents the cuttings to fall out off/in the water. When the root is at least 5 cm long, the cutting(s) can be placed into soil! After transferring the cuttings into soil, make sure to keep the soil moist as the roots are used to a lot of water. When the cuttings mature, you can slightly decrease the amount of water.
Side note & tip: one cutting of the Syngoniun ‘Variegata’ will form one string of leaves.
