The Ceropegia woodii, better known as the String of Hearts, is a really easy succulent-like plant. We ship cuttings from this plant that are 20-30 cm long, with or without roots depending on the stock. When you buy a rooted cutting, roots are approximately 3-5 cm long, and can be directly transferred to soil. However, both rooted and unrooted cuttings can grow (longer) roots in water! Our Propagation Plate Size Multi is perfect for this process, as it prevents the cuttings to fall out off/in the water. When the roots are about 3-5 cm long, they can be placed into the soil! After transferring the cuttings into soil, make sure to keep the soil moist as the roots are used to a lot of water. When the cuttings mature, you can decrease the amount of water.
Side note & tip: one cutting of the Ceropegia woodii will form one string of leaves. If you want a fuller plant, buy more than one cutting, which you place together in a pot.

☀️ Bright indirect sunlight (but also does well in a spot with less sunlight)
💧 The soil can dry out completely between waterings. Pinch multiple leaves close to the soil between your fingers: do the leaves feel firm, they don’t need water; are they soft and squashy, it’s in need of water!
☁️ Prefers average humidity
